Title: Assistant Professor (WOT) - Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology Position The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Washington School of Medicine/Seattle Children's Hospital is hiring a full-time pediatric gastroenterologist at the rank of Assistant Professor without tenure by reason of funding (WOT) on the Clinician-Scholar pathway. This is a multi-year appointment over a 12-month service period from July 1 to June 30. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. The anticipated start date will be in the Fall of 2024. This candidate would be expected to care for patients cared for by the division in the inpatient, outpatient and outreach clinics associated with Seattle Children's Hospital.
Our division has 17 faculty, 8 fellows, 5 advanced practice practitioners, and is supported by dedicated GI/Hepatology nurses, dietitians, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists, and research coordinators. The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professors $13,921 - $20,881 per month ($167,046 - $250,570 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through Children's University Medical Group practice plan. Additional administrative responsibilities may be offered to a specific candidate with appropriate experience and qualifications which may result in an administrative supplement (ADS).

Clinical Provide excellent clinical care for patients of the region Outpatient Inpatient Outreach and Regional clinics
Research/Administrative Fulfill requirements for advancement along the Clinician-Scholar pathway of the Department of Pediatrics, University of Washington School of Medicine Participate in Research and Quality programs within the General Diagnostic Gastroenterology Clinical Center Quality Improvement collaborative efforts
Education Teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows and colleagues in inpatient, outpatient, and regional/outreach clinics Participate/ Engage in oversight of GI fellowship Qualifications Requires an MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent). Candidates must be American Board of Pediatrics Board Certified/Board Eligible (ABP BC/BE) in Pediatric Gastroenterology and must be eligible for medical licensure in state of Washington.
