Art Therapist for Children and Adolescents
Are you a patient and compassionate individual who loves working with children? We are seeking an enthusiastic Art Therapist to join our team, providing therapeutic art sessions to small groups of children aged 5-17. Our groups are divided by age and abilities, and we welcome individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives.
Responsibilities: Facilitate therapeutic art sessions for small groups of children aged 5-17, divided by age and abilities; Create engaging and age-appropriate art activities to promote self-expression, emotional exploration, and personal growth; Adapt sessions to accommodate children with behavioral challenges and those who are non-verbal; Provide a supportive and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves through art; Collaborate with other team members to ensure the success of each group session.
Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Art Therapy or a related field; Previous experience working with children, preferably in a therapeutic or educational setting; Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children; Availability to work in the afternoon and on weekends; Ability to work with children with behavioral challenges and those who are non-verbal; Strong organizational and communication skills; Ability to create engaging and therapeutic art activities for children of varying ages and abilities.
