Teledyne LeCroy - Test Services (TLTS) provides the nuclear power industry with Motor Operated Valve (MOV) and Air Operated Valve (AOV) testing and diagnostic equipment, engineering services, and safety related sensors and software. Teledyne maintains a Quality Assurance Program that is structured on the requirements of the Title 10, Part 50, Appendix B of the Code of Federal Regulations (10CFR50) and ASME NQA-1-2008, Add. NQA-1a-2009 with 10CFR21 reporting responsibility.
Position Summary and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced engineer to join a team that focuses on mechanical design, nuclear power plant analysis and managing projects from concept to completion. TLTS has developed software tools that are industry-leading solutions for our clients—both nationally and internationally. Our ideal candidate is a creative thinker who shares our passion for developing engineering solutions for our customers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in an engineering or related position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years experience as an engineer, preferably in the nuclear power plant industry
Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferrable
Strong understanding and experience of Air Operated Valves (AOV) design and testing
Experience and working knowledge with AOV industry standard documents such as EPRI
Meet Teledyne LeCroy’s quality standards while maintaining working knowledge of relevant technologies and best practices for AOVs
Develop a deep understanding of products, customers, goals, organization, and business strategies, evaluating systems and processes, and identifying improvement needs
Knowledge of Visual Studio a plus
Work with product development team to continually improve and develop valve test products based on customer feedback and industry experience.
Experience with software development concepts and platform implementation.
Communicates with customers on valve issues. Forms positive/productive customer relationships based on data and continual improvement, act as a technical liaison between customers
Perform in-house and off-site training sessions for engineers and field technicians
Amount of travel required up to 25%.
Individual must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to implement complex calculations and perform data processing/analysis using Microsoft Excel.
