Role Summary:
The Advanced Lead Engineer role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. Comprehensive in-depth understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and principles within their own part of the function.
Essential Responsibilities:
Strong knowledge of technical concepts in technologies that intersect with own technical space.
In addition, as the Advanced Lead Engineer, you will:
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned individual and team projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Provide technical leadership to personnel / cross functional teams supporting the assigned project
Implement plans with guidance to meet technical requirements of assigned components and systems
Develop action plans with guidance to respond to issues / problems
Lead or participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
Recommend, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements
Participate and present or review in technical and program reviews
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Bachelor's degree in technical field from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering
Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in a Design, Product and/or Project Engineering position
Desired Characteristics:
Experience and working knowledge in aerospace and/or industrial turbine engine wiring harness and cabling systems including engine configuration layout design and verification, and detailed harness assembly design and verification.
Demonstrated experience in leading detailed technical and project reviews.
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects form concept through the production phases.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to influence others and lead small teams
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
