Performs a variety of secretarial and administrative duties for assigned supervisor/manager or senior staff member. Performs normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining alphabetical, numerical and/or subject files; interviewing callers and making proper referrals; arranging meetings and conferences; and receiving, referring, or answering mail. May take and transcribe dictation; uses personal computers and standard desktop software to compose reports, correspondence, and memorandums; reviews drafts and finished documents for appropriate grammatical usage; answers questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures. May provide guidance and direction, as needed, to lower-level secretaries and other clerical employees.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project.
Experience in managing emails, calendars, and schedules for leaders.
Experience in travel planning and expense reporting.
Ability to be a self-starter and take initiative.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin (LM) policies and procedures and demonstrates a professional demeanor.
Possession of solid knowledge of company policies, procedures, and systems (security requirements, visit request process, travel, charging, LM People).
Familiarity with LM administrative tasks and systems, especially Concur, budget tracking/resolution and purchased supplies resolution (LMPurchase to Pay).
Efficient and effective communications skills (verbal and written).
Act with diplomacy and discretion with customers, colleagues, and superiors.
Effective interpersonal organizational skills.
Ability to maintain complicated calendars, work and re-work meeting requests and scheduling.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time with limited supervision.
Exceptional organizational skills (e.g. filing systems).
Ability to work well independently, but function within a team environment.
Ability to interface with all levels of government, customers, and corporate executives.
Experience with Concur travel planning and expense reporting system.
