McConnell Golf is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Associate to join our corporate team. At McConnell Golf, we rely on a meticulous financial system to drive our business forward. The accounts payable (AP) department keeps that system running smoothly by managing cash flow and paying vendors and suppliers. The Accounts Payable Associate will work with the AP team to record invoices and process payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The AP Associate will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners. This is a part-time position and will work at our corporate office at Raleigh Country Club.

Objectives of this role Support the company in optimizing its accounts payable transactions and systems Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting Comply with national and local financial regulations Responsibilities Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry Execute credit card, EFT, and bank account reconciliations Generate purchase orders when necessary Obtain signatures on all checks Assist senior financial officers as needed Education and Experience Associate's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field of study Two years of accounts payable-related experience and/or training Experience with accounting software and online platforms Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand, and lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. Moderate noise level in the work environment. Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping Superb time management skills and detail orientation Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations
