Responsibilities
• Make necessary entries in the automated accounting system.• Plan and execute the annual inventory of fixed assets.• Review and approve fiscal documents for accuracy and timeliness.• Assist with reconciling monthly transactions and compiling data and schedules.• Perform compliance reporting of financial transactions.• Assist employees from all areas with financial information and interpretation.• Perform record retention and document destruction duties.• Presentation and analysis of the financial condition of the agency.• Research, problem solving, and decision-making relating to financial matters.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or relevant work experience.• Knowledge of automated accounting systems and spreadsheet applications.• Understanding of financial data analysis and reconciliation.• Strong analytical and communication skills.• Proficient in Microsoft applications and general databases.• Ability to work with others and handle unexpected workload effectively.• Knowledge of applicable statutes, policies, and rules.
Key Skills Needed
• Knowledge of classifying receipts, expenditure, and balance sheet accounts.• Ability to analyze transaction differences and interpret financial data.• Strong oral and written communication skills.• Data entry skills for recording transactions in accounting systems.• Ability to work with others and professionally communicate.
