We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Weld Engineer to lead our engineering projects and teams. This role requires expertise in ASME BPVC Sections VIII and IX, AWS D1.1 standards, and a solid understanding of materials engineering and welding metallurgy.
Responsibilities :
Develop and implement new welding procedures and methods.
Serve as a liaison between engineering and welding teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
Manage and assign Welding Procedure Specifications for various projects.
Oversee the maintenance and coordination of Pressure Equipment Directive Certification.
Lead root cause investigations and provide expert recommendations for inspection and corrective actions.
Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay abreast of industry advancements.
Requirements BS in Engineering preferred; a minimum of 1 year post-high school education in welding required.
Certifications required: AWS: CWI, CWEng, SCWI; CWB: Certified Welding Supervisor, Certified Welding Engineer; API: 510, 570, 653.
Strong knowledge of welding metallurgy and heat treatment.
Proven ability to perform strength calculations and develop welding procedures that meet ASME code.
