Now hiring a Manager for our Volunteer Services Department!
Supervises and supports the Volunteer Services Departments operations and goals and is responsible for the placement, on-going education, evaluation, supervision, retention, recognition and regulatory management of direct patient family support volunteers

BA Degree in Management or related field required. One to three years experience with non-paid staff preferred Education:
Essential: * Bachelor Degree
*Recruits, screens, interviews, selects, assigns, trains, motivates, transfers, evaluates, terminates, counsels and recognizes volunteers for direct service to PHS. High level people and communication skills are a must as diagnosing and resolving volunteer personnel issues is part of the role.
*Minimum of 100 volunteer direct reports at any given time.
*Coordinates general volunteer training, continuing education and support programs for all direct report volunteers.
*Oversees the schedules and coverage of all volunteers in 20 departments at assigned facility
*Ensures administrative compliance with all required screening and orientation procedures in files with prospective and current direct report volunteers with strict adherence to department policies and handbook for volunteers.
*Supports team approach for all volunteer services staff to provide seamless interaction of volunteer role functions throughout PHS.
*Serves as an advocate to all PHS paid staff for the volunteers and the volunteer program at their assigned facility.
*Participates as an active member of site(s) operation team(s) alongside peer Management at facilities as they typically are a part of many cross functional teams to positively impact patient experience.
*Assists with the annual volunteer appreciation event, by joining donation driving committee, or event planning committee.
*Designs and implements site specific volunteer services, projects and activities. When necessary, assists with processing department requests for a new volunteer by anticipating and addressing needs by ensuring proper placement and matching of role with volunteers.
*Responsible for implementation of volunteer department policies and procedures at assigned site(s).
*Manages tracking and performs annual evaluations of the volunteer facility staff; responsible for monitoring their productivity, in adherence with policy and Joint Commission and HIPAA Standards.
*Sets goals for growth using data from number of volunteers, hour logs, database information, and assessed departmental needs.
*Participates in professional organizations through seminars, email, or continuing education to benchmark program and to enhance skills development.
*Supports volunteer functions, or supporting departments events, or celebrations for volunteers.
*Liason to the community at large for donations of clothing or hand made items.
*Staff Liason to Volunteer Services Board Members and Committee Members.
*Performs other functions as required.

The compensation range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to experience and training, internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each offer.
USD $22.44/Hr.
