We are a leading private investment firm with a rich history of managing diverse investments ranging from venture capital and private equity to real estate. Our operations span the globe, including significant interests in the telecommunications, technology, natural resources, and life sciences sectors. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Fund Operations & Portfolio Support to join our team in Boston. This pivotal role involves working closely with our Chief Financial Officer and leading a dedicated team across three main areas: Fund Operations, Portfolio Support, and Investment & Fund Reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Fund Operations: Oversee investment close support, manage capital calls and distributions, provide Limited Partnership Agreement (LPA) support, and ensure effective cash control, reconciliation, and forecasting.
Portfolio Support: Lead efforts in investment valuation, support for Net Asset Value (NAV), audit and risk management, vendor relations, support for natural resources investments, tax assistance, and new investment diligence/underwriting.
Investment & Fund Reporting: Drive fund-level performance reporting, review financial statements, and assist with board reporting.
Who You Are:
Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree is required. An MBA or CFA is a plus.
Experience: You have a strong background in finance or operations, particularly within the Private Equity/Venture Capital sectors. Experience in investment management and supporting functions such as tax, legal, treasury, finance, compliance, risk, and insurance is highly valued, whether gained internally or through third-party providers.
Skills and Abilities: You possess a keen understanding of investment valuation, can thrive in a matrixed reporting environment, and are committed to driving solutions and achieving outcomes. Your interpersonal and relationship-building skills are top-notch, enabling you to engage effectively across various functions. A detail-oriented approach, combined with a strategic business perspective and excellent written and presentation skills, will be key to your success.
Certifications: Relevant certifications will be considered an asset.
