Job summary
CLL Engineering is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to join our team in Addison, IL.Responsible for making and repairing a wide variety of tools, dies, fixtures, and related metal fabrications.May assist junior toolmakers and apprentices as requested.

Responsibilities
• Studies specifications to determine materials required and machine usage.• Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method.• Sets up and operates machine tools.• Builds tooling to specifications within scheduled time frame.• Verifies dimensions, alignment, and clearances.• Examines and recommends design modifications for existing tooling.• Maintains and repairs existing tooling for production.• Develops specifications for specialty tools.• Leads tool & die projects and reports to tool room supervisor.• Maintains a clean and organized work area.• Supports safety and lean initiatives.• Complies with company policies and procedures.• Participates in activities to support company mission and product quality.• Resolves day-to-day issues by working effectively with others.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent and Journeyman Tool Maker training.• Knowledge and ability to apply knowledge to timing, rework, and repair of tools.• Basic English reading and verbal communication skills.• Advanced mathematical skills including algebra and trigonometry.• Ability to read blueprints and part prints.• Ability to use and understand measuring devices and gages.• Knowledge and understanding of company safety programs.
