We currently have an opening for a Tool and Die Repair/Tool Maker on 1st shift. Pay: Starting at $25 hr., based on experience
Summary of Position: Repairs existing dies and develops, cuts, shapes or forms metal work pieces to specifications.
Key Responsibilities: Make necessary adjustments to tooling; ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings. Troubleshoot and repair tooling that is not performing to standards. Works on all conventional machine tools except CNC-Equipment & Computer. (Unless otherwise authorized and assigned this responsibility.) Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools. Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects. Responsible for following all safety procedures / regulations and keeping immediate work area clean. Additional projects may be assigned by the Engineering Manager. Education/Experience: One-year certificate from college or technical school; or minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be familiar with precision measuring tools and have the ability to read blueprints.
