Title: Test Engineer, Junior to Intermediate
Details:
Status: Full Time (Salary)
Schedule: 0900hrs - 1730hrs; M-F
Location: On-Site, Aberdeen, MD 21001
Supervisory: No
Position Summary: The Full-Time, On-Site qualified candidate will support and be engaged in the full lifecycle of hardware and software testing. The candidate will use a variety of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) to support the test planning and test execution of products presented for testing. Testing will support the upgrade, enhancement, and lifecycle maintenance of equipment. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to document test plans, procedure and reports as well as verbally presenting test findings to customers and senior leadership.
Key Roles/Duties:
Develop and execute test procedures for next generation Tactical Radios
Responsible for developing test procedures and verification on target hardware
Design testing activities from a requirements document as the primary source
Test, identify defects, and work with design and software engineers to develop solutions or mitigation procedures to ensure functional and operation requirements are met
Perform other duties, as directed
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Technology related field or Minimum five (5) years of related experience
Basic understanding of network engineering
Prior professional work experience with Radio Frequency (RF) concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
Former or current Army twenty-five (25) Series Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) preferred
Prior test lab working experience is preferred
Linux experience in script development and basic navigation
Hands-on experience with radio systems troubleshooting SINCGARS, IW, or other networking waveforms
Travel:
Up to 25% travel is required
Clearance: Active Secret clearance or higher is required
