Responsibilities
• Run tax teams on-site and champion technology tools for efficiency• Review and approve tax returns and other work products• Manage tax projects and due dates, ensure timeliness of deliverables• Implement professional licensing standards and stay updated on tax laws• Mentor tax team members and provide guidance on tax issues• Maintain professional relationships and participate in membership organizations
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting• Licensed CPA in CA or ability to become licensed in 6 months• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or J.D. required• Advanced degree in taxation preferred• Excellent tax research and writing skills• Knowledge of various income tax returns and complex transactions• Experience in managing a team of professionals• Experience in tax controversy, audit, and rulings preferred• Emotional Intelligence and demonstrated diversity leadership
