The Role
As a Senior Consultant specializing in Land and Agriculture, you will play a crucial role in developing sustainable designs and delivering solutions that address the key challenges clients face in agricultural practices and related environmental pressures. You will be responsible for supporting junior staff, ensuring scientific integrity and high-quality project delivery, and aligning clients' needs with existing and new solutions offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of solutions to ensure comprehensive and innovative approaches to client challenges.
- Lead the execution and delivery of client projects, auditing deliverables to ensure quality and scientific rigor.
- Support business development efforts by providing expert opinion on client challenges and identifying new and innovative offerings.
- Collaborate with colleagues to collectively address client inquiries and support the closing of sales.
- Champion the Quantis Spirit by fostering a culture of collaboration, creating an inclusive work environment, and developing a deep connection to each individual.
Qualifications and Skills
- A strong scientific background and understanding of the relation between agricultural practices and climate, biodiversity, and water impacts.
- Experience applying your knowledge in agronomy, fertilizer management systems, crop rotation management, or related subjects to advise and quantify improvements.
- Familiarity with common guidelines and frameworks in the sustainability space, including but not limited to GHG Protocol, SBTi & SBTi FLAG, Value Change Initiative (VCI), and Accountability Framework Initiative.
- Experience linking agriculture to different sustainability topics such as climate, water, and biodiversity and knowledge of quantification methods in these fields.
- Able to provide senior-level subject matter expertise on land use and land use change related topics.
- Dedicated to the deep reduction of fossil resource use, and agrochemical application, and the elimination of deforestation.
- Good understanding or technical knowledge in carbon accounting, crop modeling, primary data gathering, and life cycle assessment (LCA).

- Location: Fully remote in the US with occasional travel (20% or less) to our Boston HQ and to client sites.

- Compensation: The compensation target for this role ranges from $115,000 - $118,000.
