As a Scrub Tech in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), you will play a pivotal role in assisting surgeons with complex procedures, ensuring the maintenance of a safe and sterile operating environment, and offering compassionate care to patients.
Key Responsibilities Provide professional and dedicated care to patients. Assist surgeons during operative procedures. Orient new Scrub Techs to all surgical areas. Maintain a safe and aseptic environment in the Operating Room. Demonstrate teamwork to ensure a sterile environment is maintained. Qualifications Required: High School diploma or GED. Must have completed an accredited Surgical Technology program or possess a minimum of five (5) consecutive years of training/experience as a Surgical Tech. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from either the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association. Valid Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification in the state of Oklahoma. Preferred: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with at least one (1) year of surgical tech experience. National Certification as a Surgical Technologist. CVOR Experience Licenses/Certifications: Valid LPN license in Oklahoma or under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), if applicable.
