Job Responsibilities Managing the entire cycle of interface application development, including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live, and support. Working closely with application teams, subject matter experts, and third-party application experts to determine the business needs for interfaces, document the requirements, and configure the interfaces per the requirements. Working with this group to diagnose and resolve interface-related issues, and participating in their projects as needed. Ensures appropriate change management procedures are followed by all application teams. Works closely with application technical support to ensure appropriate tools are developed and technical issues are resolved. Provide technical assistance to other departments in relation to interface development and installation. Provide 3rd level interface support. Demonstrate expert level proficiency in the delivery of hardware and system software technology to customers using standard procedures. Provide technical support during the implementation delivery process including triaging and troubleshooting reported by customer and implementation team. Install all software required for the company solutions. Developing Technical documentation to facilitate efficiency, document customer implementations, and support department education objectives. Training relevant customers and company Staff on your areas of expertise. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree with coursework in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Experience with interface engines is a must. Familiarity with HIPPA standards is a must. Expert level experience with HL7. Effectively balance work on multiple projects and teams simultaneously Strong communicator and team player Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Technology OR at least 5 years experience Experience with EHR/EMR applications is preferred Prior experience in healthcare settings is strongly preferred Additional Information Georgia Department of Public Health Commissioner and leaders encourages all employees to engage in regular wellness activities and to make lifestyle choices that promote health and well-being.


The use of wellness breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and assist employees in meeting their wellness goals. A maximum of 30 minutes in a given workday may be used to engage in wellness activities, generally in the form of two 15-minute breaks or one 30-minute break.



Employment Information


All approved teleworking employees must reside within the state of Georgia and depending on the responsibilities of the position, must live within reasonable driving distance of the agency's primary worksite and be able to report to the office when required.


Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.


DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
