Ensuring a high level of leadership in safety standards and procedures Executing mine production plans in a safe and cost-effective manner to ensure targeted quantities are consistently delivered Responsible for the allocation of operational resources and directing work of outside consultants and contractors Responsible for ongoing training, safety compliance and departmental scheduling and productivity Communicating with multiple stakeholder groups working in and around the mine facility Contributing to the continuous improvement of the mine and lowering of costs by identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation About You To succeed in this role, you will have:
A high school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred 3+ years of experience in mining, processing, manufacturing or a related field Ability to lead and prior experience leading medium to large teams Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels It will also be beneficial if you have:

Where you'll be working Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation, including a concentrator, smelter and refinery, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States. We produce copper, precious metals including gold and silver, molybdenum and sulfuric acid. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903, and is one of the top producing mines in the world, comprising approximately 11 percent of U.S. annual copper production.
