Full job description Description: W.A. Klinger, L.L.C. in Sioux City, IA specializes in industrial, commercial, and institutional construction. We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to manage construction projects in Sioux City and the surrounding areas.
The Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day execution of large commercial construction projects. Works with Project Managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure the project remains on schedule and within the allocated budget. Regularly supervises work of employees and subcontractors; inspects and verifies work in progress. Strictly enforces compliance with safety procedures. Experience with commercial construction projects required.
Job Responsibilities :
Oversees all operations of the construction project and provides reports on timeline, progress and adjustments. Determines staffing requirements. Follows through with hiring, training and managing construction workers for the project. Collaborates with project manager, subcontractors and owners on all facets of construction project. Ensures that the team adheres to all company policies and safety protocols. Manage and utilize the Company's construction management software. Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a Project Superintendent in a commercial construction environment. A 2-year or 4-year degree in Construction or related field an advantage, but not required. Critical thinking, problem solving, conflict management, and clear communication. Proactive project planning for all phases of construction including Safety, Productivity, Scheduling, Labor, Materials, and Equipment. Some projects may require regional travel (up to 150 miles of Sioux City, IA). Valid driver s license. Post offer, pre-employment physical and drug testing, and E-verification are required.
