At The Wise Seeker, we are seeking a talented Strategic Resource Planner to join our client, NV Energy, a prominent energy company based in Las Vegas. Key Responsibilities: Research & Analysis: Conduct complex and multidisciplinary analysis to support resource planning activities. Reporting: Present clear, concise, and accurate reports to consultants, managers, executives, and regulators. Model Management: Maintain and execute computer models that support major resource decisions and strategies, including procurement, operations, retirements, and integrated resource plans. Communication: Prepare and communicate written summaries of resource modeling inputs and results. Market Analysis: Perform ad-hoc fundamental market analysis to support resource investment, acquisition, and structured commercial transactions. Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in meetings and proceedings, providing technical input and representing modeling assumptions and analysis. Regulatory Support: Provide regulatory support, prepare written testimony for regulatory filings, and respond to data requests. Expert Testimony: Act as an expert witness in regulatory proceedings. Industry Research: Complete industry research and identify major trends for future regulatory filings. Mentorship: Coordinate, mentor, and train junior Resource Planning staff. Act on behalf of the Director in their absence. Compliance: Ensure all compliance aspects of the position are known and followed; comply with all applicable policies, codes, and regulations. Additional Duties: Perform related duties as assigned. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy. Experience: 8-12 years of experience in utility production cost modeling and energy supply fundamentals. Technical Skills: Proficiency in various modeling, analytical, statistical, monitoring, or reporting software. Industry Experience: Experience with an energy production company (electricity, gas, or water). Project Management: Strong project management skills. Work Permit: Valid work permit within the area.
