***This is an onsite role, reporting to our Montopolis office in Austin, Texas!LCRA is looking for a Steel Fabricator to join our team in building the crucial infrastructure of Central Texas. This role's workplace will be in Austin, Texas just minutes from downtown. As a member of our Fabrication team, you will have the opportunity to work with various sizes of metals ranging from .125 to 2" thick. You will work with a skilled team and receive valuable training through on-the-job experiences as well as set training curriculum. This position applies knowledge and experience in own subject area but is still building higher-level knowledge and skills. In this role, you will receive a moderate level of guidance and direction from supervisor, manager and/or more experienced colleagues.. If you are looking to work your way up in a great company that provides for the local community, for amazing benefits and training and to be part of our mission to enhance the lives of Central Texans, this is the job for you!You will be trusted to:You will be trusted to:• Perform tasks in fabricating raw steel according to blueprints and specifications for use in line towers and transmission substations, microwave towers, and other structures as needed.• Operate overhead crane and forklift to load and unload steel. Drive a truck as necessary to deliver steel.• Operate steel punching machinery in fabrication process.
