The Station Administrative Manager is the sole subject matter expert on station policies and procedures and all administrative functions at the Seattle station. As an individual contributor, this role supports all levels of leadership at the Seattle station defining and executing on the 12-month strategy for labor contract grievance resolution, local station administration policies and procedures and station communications.
As the lead subject matter expert in administrative functions at the Seattle station, serve as the single point of contact for administrative policies and procedures, including partnerships with the Port of Seattle and US Department of Customs and Immigrations on Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge processes and employee transportation procedures. Collaborates with Station Operations Coordinator as necessary. Manage all station resources, such as tenant spaces and relocation plans and all station equipment and supplies while partnering with the Manager, Seattle Station Scheduling & Finance to ensure effective cost and variance reporting. Ownership of meeting agendas, including offsite events, with various work teams to collect and disseminate project information, plan and schedule tasks and resources, generate timelines, and structure a process for consensus and individual commitment for deliverables. Collaborate with the Manager, Seattle Station Employee Services on labor contract administration and acts as the sole subject matter expert on grievance resolution processes and procedures. Exercise considerable latitude and initiative to solve complex challenges related to all functions at the station, including customer service and vendor oversight in a manner to ensure compliance with company service standards, policies, and all regulations of federal, state, and local port authorities. Execute strategy for developing and delivering effective communication to front line, supervisory staff, and all leadership employees, using multiple channels and innovative ideas to reach a diverse audience at the station. Own initiatives to establish priorities of airport operations and administrative programs to promote process changes. Required 7 years of airport operations or administrative roles with increasing levels of responsibility or related experience. Bachelor's degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree. Understanding and ability to apply LEAN process improvement principles resulting in a work environment that strives for continual improvement. Strong communication (e.g., verbal, written, presentation) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create collaborative relationships that drive outcomes in the best interest of the company, with others in the organization, and with key external business partners. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum age of 18. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred 1 year of operations experience in a hub station (SEA, ANC, PDX, LAX, SFO, SAN). Sound, strategic thinker with a track record of demonstrating good judgement, strong business acumen, and executing plans with a sense of urgency and a mind for safety. Working knowledge of fiscal control systems, staffing processes, safety and security compliance. Solid knowledge of TSA, FAA and IATA regulations and requirements related to customer handling. Ability to build a positive work environment, which builds effective working relationships across internal divisions and vendor management teams. $96,500 -- $149,500 / year



Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
