Additional information about the company can be found at WhirlpoolCorp.com.This role in summaryAs a Staff Internal Auditor within the Finance/Audit organization you will be responsible for gaining an understanding of key business processes, documenting conclusions based on testing of key controls, and providing value-added solutions to the business for everyday use.  This unique insight will place you in a position to become a valued business partner to key management stakeholders. Today you might be executing an engagement of a third party vendor contract and presenting the results to Senior Management. The next day you may be performing data analysis as part of a project to assist management with reducing costs. The following week you might be performing testing of SOX controls to ensure our internal controls over financial reporting are designed correctly and operating effectively.This position sits at our Global Headquarters in Benton Harbor, MI.Your responsibilities will includeExecutes operational and SOX audit assignments successfully from beginning to endPerforms data analytics to assess total population riskEnsures audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, controls, and risk.Obtains and reviews audit evidence ensuring conclusions are accurate and well-documented.Adheres to applicable department and professional standardsWorks closely with management to promptly resolve problems and build trust.Ensures adequate focus on personal & professional growth in line with career progressionProactively seeks relevant education and training opportunitiesLimited travel may be required within this role (<20%)Minimum requirementsBachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business1+ years of experience in accounting/finance, audit or analyzing business processesPreferred skills and experiencesBig 4 or Fortune 500 experience Experience with navigating, extracting data, and dataflows in ERP (SAP) systemsData analysis experience including utilization of analytical tools Experience working in an audit management systemSOX walkthrough and testing experienceFamiliarity with Google applications (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and data visualization solutions (Tableau, Data Studio)Understanding of US GAAP, SOX, COSO Control Framework, Internal Auditing Standards and risk assessment practices.RSRWHAdditional informationWhirlpool's Ways of WorkingOur goal is to provide an environment that helps you bring your best to Whirlpool every day.
