Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our client in Boca Raton, FL! This position is responsible for ensuring our client's financial reports reflect the true state of their assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses. This Direct-Hire opportunity offers $60,000-$80,000/year!Key Responsibilities: Review and ensure accurate recording of accounts payable and receivable invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
Examine expense reimbursement reports and company credit card statements to ensure adherence to the company's Travel and Entertainment policy.
Reconcile bank accounts to the general ledger and trust account registers, addressing aged deposits in transit and outstanding checks.
Prepare schedules for general ledger balance sheet accounts to verify the accuracy of account balances and provide transparency to balance sheet transactions.
Analyze balance sheet, income, and cash flow statements to identify trends, variances, and errors that require documentation or reclassification.
Create monthly, quarterly, and year-end journal entries for required accruals and reclassifications of general ledger discrepancies.
Generate supplementary schedules and commentary to accompany financial statements and reports presented to leadership.
Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operational and financial information as requested by leadership.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
Collect necessary reports, schedules, and documents required by external auditors.
Suggest enhancements to current accounting and reporting procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Experience with full cycle accounting software.
Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
