Job Description Lead state and local sales/use tax audits and conduct efficient audit cycles in coordination with external advisors.
Provide responses to information requests and track status of tax audits/appeals.
Identify and quantify (1) exposures associated with tax positions and (2) opportunities to reduce tax assessments throughout the audit process; improve processes to remediate identified issues.
Collaborate with external consultants on technical and compliance matters related to sales/use tax audits and appeals.
Ensure audit results are incorporated into business operations, transaction processing, and tax return preparation process for compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
Assess and record audit reserves in accordance with accounting for contingencies under ASC 450 / FAS 5
Prepare and process audit settlement payments.
Integration of acquisitions into tax compliance process
Other duties as assigned.
Hybrid schedule based out of our corporate office with some travel up to 10% #LI- Hybrid Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, and/or other business related fields.
Experience with OneSource Indirect Tax products
5 years of corporate tax experience, including indirect
Strong Excel experience
Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work well with tight deadlines.
