Culmen International is seeking a Sr Communications Lead to support a DOD Client. Roles & Responsibilities: Managing and leading a communications team for the DHA implementation science branch, ensuring alignment with MHS initiatives. Responsible for developing and executing dissemination campaigns for clinical guidelines, coordinating with graphic designers, technical writers, content experts, and others as needed. Working on multifaceted communications campaigns that span across various clinical subject matters. Tasks may include developing audience profiles, conducting environmental scans, and executing social media campaigns. Working with project leads to plan, develop, and guide patient/provider awareness and dissemination program initiatives, coordinating with DHA Strategic Communications to facilitate execution. Coordinating with evaluation SMEs to measure the effectiveness of dissemination campaigns. Monitoring project details, timelines, and providing progress reports to leadership. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree AND 5+ years of experience in management or consultant role OR Master's degree AND 3+ years of experience in management or consultant role. Degrees should be in a healt field (e.g., public health, nursing, or related interdisciplinary degree) or communications field (e.g., marketing, public policy, public relations, communications) Change Management Certification Knowledge of military culture and structure to best support MHS initiatives. Strong technical writing skills to clearly, logically, and succinctly communicate project-related information within the MHS, DoD, and other federal agencies at the commensurate comprehension and reading level for the audience. Ability to work collaboratively and independently, and have strong oral and written communication abilities, with strong conceptual and systems-thinking abilities and problem-solving skills. Strong working knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office business suite, to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required to prepare reports, briefings, and products; experience with Adobe Professional and with posting and sharing documents in SharePoint. Excellent client-facing consultation skills to include briefing and/or advisement to civilian and uniformed government personnel. Must be able to establish and maintain relationships, demonstrate initiative, exude a professional presence, focus on results and demonstrate enthusiasm. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in the Military Health System (preferably Defense Health Agency, VA, AHRQ, CDC, SAMSHA, or NIH) to support MHS initiatives. Experience with graphic design tools like Piktochart or Canva, capable of developing infographics for social media campaigns Masters degree Strong knowledge and/or experience with dissemination and implementation best practices Understanding what is required to communicate across various audiences to develop effective presentations Knowledge and/or experience interpreting and communicating data informed findings/results. Background in public health, public policy, or related interdisciplinary fields.
