Spiritual Care & Bereavement Support Hospice & Palliative Care
Announcement #257267 Jefferson Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our Hospice and Palliative Care team as a Spiritual Care & Bereavement Support. In this role, you will be responsible for providing spiritual support to our patients and their families through interviews, consultations, and emotional, psychosocial, bereavement, and grief evaluations before the death of the hospice patient.
As a community-based position, the majority of your time will be spent conducting in-home visits, although you may occasionally need to visit facilities and hospitals. Additionally, you will also be serving the spiritual health needs of our Palliative Care patients, and attendance at IDG meetings may be required.
As a liaison between community clergy and Hospice, you will play an essential role in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care and support. Generous pay Outstanding benefits.?Our benefits package is in the top 1% in the state?of Washington and includes Excellent medical coverage, dental, vision Paid time off (PTO) Retirement Professional development opportunities What you'll need: Bachelor's Degree in a related area, such as divinity, social work, or theology required; Master's preferred; completion 2 units CPE preferred Two years experience working in a hospice program as a bereavement/grief counselor, chaplain, medical social worker, counselor, or nurse Experience leading/facilitating support groups preferred Certification in grief counseling preferred or completed within one year of hire Experience and confidence with EMR and technology management Current valid Washington State automobile driver's license and proof of automobile insurance Schedule: 0.6 FTE; 24 hours/week; Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 830-5pm
