Job Summary:University Home Care is seeking a Home Care Intake Coordinator for our Livonia, Michigan location. The Intake Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the intake process for clients in need of home care services. This is a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of services to our clients. The individual in this position will act as a liaison between the client, their family members, and medical professionals to ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner. This is a contractor healthcare/medical role with potential for growth within the organization.Compensation and Benefits:The Home Care Intake Coordinator will receive a competitive hourly rate of $17 to $23 per hour, paid weekly. In addition, they will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated and supportive team, as well as have the potential for growth within the organization.Responsibilities:Receive referrals from medical professionals, clients, and their family membersCoordinate and schedule initial consultations with clients and their familiesReview and assess client's needs and create a personalized care planVerify insurance coverage and billing informationCollaborate with medical professionals to obtain necessary documentation and medical recordsCommunicate effectively with clients and their families to address any questions or concernsMaintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentationSchedule and coordinate services with the appropriate home care team membersEnsure compliance with all state and federal regulationsAssist with any additional administrative tasks as neededRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree (Not Required)Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in home careExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsKnowledge of medical terminology and insurance processesProficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systemsMust be able to pass a background checkEEOC Statement:University Home Care is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants.
