Responsibilities
• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport• Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data• Assist in preparing items for shipment• Maintain shipping paperwork and checklists• Label packages via UPS or FedEx• Verify inbound and outbound loads and materials• Assist Logistics Manager with shipping & receiving inquiries and paperwork• Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping• Maintain a clean and safe work area
Requirements
• Demonstrated experience in safe fork truck driving and material moving• Customer-service orientation• Knowledge of shipping and receiving general practices• Organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills• Comfort level in interfacing with various levels of staff and management• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions• Multi-tasking ability to respond to manufacturing needs• No supervisory responsibilities
