Palmer Logistics is a 3rd party logistics Company. Palmer Logistics services customers in chemical, food grade and general commodity storage and distribution. We are an ISO 9001:2015 certified company. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, self starter for a Shipping & Receiving position in Pasadena. The day-to-day responsibility of this candidate is checking drivers in and out and updating our WMS System, SYNAPSE. Reading emails to confirm appointments with customers or carriers. Replying to emails or forwarding to correct personnel. Answering phone calls throughout the day. providing directions or transferring to WH personnel. Will communicate via radio. Candidate will require good communication skills between warehouse and office personnel.
Responsibilities Check in drivers Monitor daily emails Schedule appointments Keeping up with daily log/and daily schedule Following up with carriers on late or missed pick-ups. Schedule inbound loads and outbound loads. Document and report scheduling issues by account. Monitor and report accuracy on ISO conformances pertaining to receiving/shipping activities. Skills Ability to multi-task Ability to work in a fast paced environment Efficient in Microsoft Office Suite Strong data entry skills; accuracy Professional Communication skills; verbal and written Attention to detail, organization Requirements Highschool diploma, G.E.D.
