DESCRIPTION Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
Key job responsibilities
-Manage all aspects of freight and parcel shipping and receiving activities, including inventory management.
-Prepare goods for RMA shipments.
-Work closely with engineering to find solutions for procurement, freight coordination and spare part needs.
-Coordinate domestic and international shipments of components and prototype products.
-Prepare, organize and deliver received packages to the development and engineering teams.
-Actively identify logistics and inventory improvements and process optimizations.
-Build, organize and maintain a shipping and receiving area.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $32/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits are provided. This information is provided per the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on market location. A day in the life
A successful candidate for this role will have a passion for customer service to maintain and supply critical inventory to keep the team productive, develop documentation to standardize processes and work with customers across the organization to ensure their freight and shipments are processed and received in a timely manner. You must be able to deliver results in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Redmond, WA, USA BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelors' degree or equivalent working experience.
- 1+ year of Purchasing / Procurement or experience in Supply Chain.
- 1+ year of experience working in a manufacturing environment sourcing, purchasing, or managing mechanical products.
