As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will handle complex tax preparation for a diverse clientele, including individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates. This advanced role requires someone who can work independently and with minimal direction, thriving under the pressure of peak seasons and ensuring the highest standards of tax compliance.
Responsibilities:
Independently prepare and complete moderate to complex tax returns.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and maintain timely communication with all stakeholders.
Review and prepare financial statements, analyze trends, and summarize relevant information.
Stay updated on industry standards and regulations through continuous professional development.
Provide leadership and contribute positively to team development while maintaining direct client relationships to enhance service delivery.
Conduct research, simplify complex tax issues, and respond promptly to both client and team inquiries.
Manage multiple client engagements effectively and meet stringent deadlines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
3-5 years of experience in a public accounting setting, focusing on tax.
CPA designation strongly preferred.
Strong technology skills pertinent to job responsibilities.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Commitment to professional growth of less experienced staff through mentoring.
Analytical skills, with a keen eye for details and a commitment to accuracy.
Pay and Benefits:
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications ($75,000-$95,000 per year).
