Job summary
Senior Loss Control Consultant performs inspections and prepares reports for insurance underwriting purposes.Reports are used by insurance companies to insure commercial buildings or business operations.Requires minimum 10 years' experience with major carrier or as an independent contractor providing loss control services.
Job seniority: director level and above
Responsibilities
• Perform property assessments to determine adequacy of sprinkler systems.• Conduct assessments for Inland Marine coverages including builders risk, contractor's equipment, etc.• Assess Commercial General Liability for Premises, Operations, Products, and Completed Operations.• Conduct Workers Compensation assessments for regulatory compliance and workplace safety.• Analyze loss data to identify trends and root causes.• Conduct specialty assessments in Environmental and Professional Liability.• Provide Risk Improvement services including training, consulting, and hazard analysis.• Upload completed reports, photos, and diagrams through a special website or web based systems.• Travel within a reasonable territory, 50 mile radius.• Perform loss control surveys to guide underwriters and assist insured in controlling losses.
Requirements
• Minimum 10 years' experience with major carrier or as an independent contractor providing loss control services.• Extensive understanding of commercial property and casualty lines.• Solid communication skills, including exceptional writing ability, organizational skills, and computer skills.• Excellent time management skills.• Professional certifications CSP, OHST, ALCM, and/or ARM preferred but not required.
