About the Role:
As a Senior Educational Product Designer, you will be a key player in shaping the design of competency-based higher educational programs. Reporting to the Manager of Design & Development, Learning Centered Design and Analytics Administration, you will lead the charge in creating programs that emphasize skills acquisition and personalized learning pathways. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure program designs meet the needs of students, employers, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Break down complex problems and develop user-friendly solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design competency-based educational programs.
Ensure program designs promote equity and social mobility.
Conduct research to align program designs with industry standards.
Document program designs thoroughly and beautifully.
Facilitate productive meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Advocate for high standards of excellence in user experiences.
Provide thought leadership on emerging techniques for competency-based education.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
Three or more years of experience in product design.
Bachelor's degree.
Background in online learning or educational product development.
Proficiency in design tools and collaboration software.
Preferred:
Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
Experience in creating innovative learning experiences.
Understanding of higher education environments.
Success with change management initiatives.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk.
Occasional lifting up to 15 pounds.
