Senior Cost Accountant

Senior Cost Accountant Location Hybrid work in Griffin, GA : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, managing costs, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes. This is a crucial role within our organization, and we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and has a strong understanding of cost management principles. Responsibilities:- Analyze cost variances and identify areas for improvement- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and processes- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets and forecasts- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations- Assist in the development of pricing strategies and product costing models- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
Skills:- Strong knowledge of cost management principles and techniques- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and other accounting software- Experience in public accounting or a similar role is preferred- Technical accounting skills, including financial report interpretation- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities- Strong attention to detail and accuracy- Solid understanding of budgeting processes- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
