**Position Overview:**
As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding our customer base within the packaging industry. You will be responsible for managing existing accounts, cultivating strong relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage and maintain relationships with internal and external customers as the primary contact for Ohio-based customers.
- Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, or in-person regarding orders, returns, shipments, and product inquiries.
- Forecast and track key account metrics, preparing reports on account status.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking and relationship-building.
- Deliver professional after-sales support to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Respond to customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Negotiate agreements and maintain accurate sales records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Participate in safety programs and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in account management or similar role required.
- Experience in sales with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
**Skills and Competencies:**
- Ability to travel 30-40% of the time.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
