Responsibilities The Barrow Neuroepidemiology Research Program is a multi-disciplinary research laboratory focusing on investigating neurodegenerative disease and other neurology disorders. The laboratory uses two primary research approaches, cohort and administrative data studies. For the cohorts, we take a deep phenotyping approach in populations highly exposed to environmental neurotoxicants, using detailed clinical assessments, molecular and structural imaging, and exposure quantification. Our administrative data studies primarily use Medicare data to understand risk factors for neurologic diseases, to develop predictive models to identify patients earlier in their disease course, and to identify potential disease-modifying therapies using pharmacoepidemiology. The team conducting these studies is highly multi-disciplinary and includes physicians, data analysts, computer scientists, epidemiologists, and a geographer.
Project Manager will be responsible for providing oversight and leadership necessary for successful delivery of projects from initiation to implementation to close-out of assigned research activities. The Project Manager is expected to effectively manage scope, schedule/timelines, budget, quality and resources of the assigned trial(s). Study management will also include vendor management, and study meeting planning and execution.
Work in conjunction with leadership to analyze and determine ongoing business opportunities and goals. Develop project plans/schedules that represent the appropriate level of detail and task interdependency. Manage change and/or conflicts within projects in an effective and timely manner. Provide leadership in process improvement and other activities in cooperation with department leadership. Manage expectations and relationships between multiple departments and organizations. Facilitate project meetings. Oversees implementation of action items and works with sub teams as needed. Professionally communicate verbally/written with broad spectrum of audiences. Become the application and/or program subject expert by gaining knowledge and cultivating relationships from a variety of audiences throughout the organizations Leads/manages projects timely, clearly and concisely organizes projects. Collaborate with project investigators and research sites to ensure targets are met for application submission, project initiation, and regulatory reporting. Assist with contracts and amendment development as applicable. Develop and collaborate on documents including budgets, all grant submission documents, reporting, and other study tools. Work closely with Operations Manager on project financial tracking. #LI-DH
Qualifications Experience2 years of project management or 2 years of administration/accounting experience.
A combination of education and experience may be accepted.
EducationBachelor's Degree in related field.
Masters Degree in related field.Special SkillsMicrosoft office package with excel experience and electronic data capture system (EDC) skill preferred.
