Rendering 2nd Shift Indiana Packers Corporation, Delphi Indiana A Rendering team member is responsible for tending equipment used to render and process animal source material including animal fat, bones, meat scrapes and rendering tallow from fat. This factory position is needed for 8 - 10 hours a day, including Saturdays as needed. Second shift hours are from 2:00pm - 10:00pm.

This manufacturing position earns a competitive wage of $21.92 per hour for the second shift.
Responsibilities Completes inspection of equipment to determine if sanitation is adequate to begin rendering process. Assembles rendering equipment including expellers, grinders, pumps, pipes, blades, cooking tanks. Tests equipment to determine proper functioning. Opens valves and starts pumps and conveyors to move materials through rendering process. Monitors temperature gauges and rate of flow and condition of materials passing through cookers, expellers, and grinders; adjust valves and rate of flow. Dumps guts, bones, tissue, and other inedible parts into a chute leading to storage containers for cooking tanks for inedible processing. Labels storage containers as "Not for Consumption". Contacts maintenance mechanics for troubleshooting equipment malfunction To be successful in this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
