Regulatory Affairs Specialist

Regulatory and QA Specialist Our client is a highly regarded manufacturer of flavors and essential oils. It is located in northern NJ. We have been working with this company for a number of years and our candidates like working there. The senior management team treats its employees like family.
Responsibilities Prepare regulatory documentation for flavors and essential oil products - SDS, Allergen statement, Natural status, GMO, Prop 65, flavor product Ingredient listing, etc. Assist R&D/customers to determine necessary modifications to meet project needs and regulation, answer questionnaires. Collaborate with QC to complete daily inspection of finished products. Request, organize and review regulatory documentation from suppliers for new raw material approval. Assist in Organic, Kosher, Halal, SQF audit. Participate in internal audits for SQF programs. Conduct GMP inspections in production areas. Assist in solving production/ quality issues and out-of-conformance material issues. Other tasks if needed. Qualifications
1-3 years of Regulatory/QA experience in food industry and/or flavor industry. Minimum Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, or equivalent. CPG Alcohol beverage experience preferred. HACCP certification/ PCQI certification preferred. Knowledge on FSMA regulations and GFSI. Excellent writing and communications skills. Must be able to multitask in fast paced environment when necessary.
