As a Registered School Nurse (RN), you'll collaborate with a team to establish and maintain a comprehensive school health office. This includes providing direct care to students, ensuring compliance with state requirements, implementing infection control measures, and monitoring medication administration. This is an Exempt, Full-Time position (approximate hours 7:30-4:00). Responsibilities: Assess and address student health needs using the medical plan of care and nursing process. Interpret, implement, and communicate health policies to school personnel, parents, and community agencies. Ensure compliance with immunization and health physical requirements. Assist the School Psychiatrist in monitoring student responses to psychotropic medications. Order laboratory and EKG procedures. Maintain accurate and comprehensive health records for all enrolled students. Forward health records when students transition from Solterra Academy. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Two to three years of pediatric nursing experience, including school and psychiatric nursing; knowledge of the needs of students with disabilities is desirable. Current Department of Public Health licensure required as an RN. Certification as a school nurse by the State Department of Education is preferred. If RN, must have worked full time for at least 1 year in the past 5 years as an RN. CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire (training provided by Solterra Academy). Certification in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention is required, with the first training course provided after the hire date (training provided by Solterra Academy). #ZR
