Are you a seasoned sales professional seeking an exciting opportunity to drive growth and revenue for a premier manufacturer of innovative industrial mixing equipment? Look no further! We're seeking a talented and driven Regional Sales Manager to join our expanding team, responsible for spearheading new equipment sales and aftermarket services in the sanitary processing markets across the Western US and Canada.
In this pivotal role, you'll manage the outside sales function within your territory, overseeing all activities of the respective sales channels, handling applications, preparing proposals, responding to customer needs, and developing effective communication and motivation strategies. You'll take charge of hiring and terminating sales agencies as required to maintain company sales goals, and manage and monitor the activities of assigned representative offices, including setting sales targets, reviewing monthly and quarterly goals, and providing local training.
As a key member of our sales team, you'll conduct regional customer sales seminars, assist with laboratory testing, and utilize our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system as a primary sales tool, ensuring data for customers, contacts, leads, and opportunities is consistently updated.
While this is a remote work-from-home position, you'll be required to travel extensively (up to 50%) to end-user facilities, potentially in conjunction with sales channel partners, to discuss and review opportunities for our equipment, oversee field trials, and arrange end-user product testing.
To succeed in this role, you'll need superior communication skills, the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines, and a talent for motivating others. Bilingual abilities are a plus. You should possess a strong sense of urgency, rapid response time, and the ability to build and develop relationships. Solid technical knowledge of the sanitary industry manufacturing process and prior experience utilizing CRM as a sales tool are essential.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering preferred
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales (including direct sales), sales management, or customer service
- Previous experience selling capital equipment and aftermarket parts within the sanitary mixing industry is highly desirable
- Ability to lift 30 pounds, climb stairs, ladders, and travel as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and videoconferencing technology
- Willingness to work with end-users before, during, and after the sale
