Job purpose CandyCo LLC, a Lindon, UT manufacturer of chocolates, caramels, and confections, is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented sales coordinator with an eye for accuracy and presentation to help prepare samples and sample shipments. The R&D Technician will have an eye for presentation, the ability to accurately scale ingredients for samples, and comfort with running and cleaning equipment.
Duties and responsibilities Assist in development of sales samples, including scaling raw materials and cleaning equipment after use. Process samples for use. Properly store and label samples to preserve freshness and quality. Label correctly and store in an organized fashion. Manage daily shipments. Follow a shipment request form to fulfill requested samples. Pack appropriately for safe transport, using pads and ice packs. Ensure packages are delivered to freight companies for on time shipment. Assist with other projects, on the bench, plant floor, or in office as needed. Qualifications Food preparation experience preferred. Ability to follow directions & recipes. Basic computer and mathematical skills including data and spreadsheet management and weight and measurement conversions. Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to work in food allergen areas (nuts, dairy, egg, etc.) Ability to be on standing for multiple hours at a time Required to be able to lift 30lbs move most of the day.
