THE ROLE: The Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring quality initiatives are met in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will work on night shift (6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.) on a 2-2-3 schedule. Initial job training will be conducted during day shift hours. We offer a full benefits package to include 160 HOURS Paid Time Off (PTO) for hourly positions, health, dental, vision, investment savings plan, and other additional miscellaneous benefits.  Xylem will provide paid training for CDL upgrades (if applicable).
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   
Gain an understanding of a specific Sensus product design, including materials and manufacturing requirements while working with cross-functional teamsDevelop and maintain inspection reportsConduct routine quality inspections and analyze dataPerform product auditsIdentify improvement opportunities in quality control processesFacilitate Root Cause Analysis through various problem-solving tools and techniques on internal concerns or external customer returnsSupporting product Quality Engineers to achieve objectivesParticipate in 5S projects and safety meetings.  QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GEDQuality ASQ certification a plusManufacturing experience preferredFluent in Microsoft Word/ExcelAbility to read technical drawingsAbility to use a variety of precision measurement tools and equipmentCan work independently with minimal supervision, and be able to follow written directionsWorks well with others in a team environmentDAY IN THE LIFE: In this role, the working environment is a manufacturing environment, and the physical demands may include but not limited to Lifting (5-35 lbs.) manufacturing environment, regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility, regularly required to listen, talk to, and see employees on a daily basis.
