Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Summary:
The quality engineer is responsible for investigating and troubleshooting product and process related
issues while acting as a liaison between us and its external customers.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
? Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
Recommend corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.
? Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical
quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and Lean-Six Sigma tools and analyses.
Lead and/or participate in quality process improvement projects.
? Facilitate and lead effective 8D investigations by coordinating cross-functional problem-solving
teams.
? Train plant staff on quality procedures.
? Perform routing go-and-see, FPLP approval, and layered process audits.
? Update work instructions and critical documentation such as PFMEAs, control plans, and E
Dockets as necessary.
? Perform material testing and diagnosis/recommendations for purchased products exhibiting
either poor quality or poor performing characteristics.
? Provide customer requested documentation of claim details.
? Follow established process for handling customer deductions forwarded by accounts receivable.
? Serve as neutral party between customer and organization in claim investigation.
? Other duties, as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
? Demonstrated experience in developing and/or updating control plans and FMEA's.
? Experience with researching and issuing corrective actions.
? Strong written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
? Strong customer service skills
? Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and
function specific software.
? Strong attention to detail & organizational skills.
? Strong technical aptitude.
? Some travel may be required ( REV 8/23/2022
Education and Experience:
? Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant work experience
? 2 or more years technical experience needed, automotive a plus.
? Lean/ Six Sigma green belt or higher a plus
? ASQ CQE/CQM a plus
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work on your feet on the plant floor for extended periods
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to perform minor heavy lifting
