Job Title: Quality Engineer
Role Type: Full-Time, Salaried
Reports To: Quality Manager
Job Description:
The Quality Engineer leads the development and implementation of the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) leading to the eventual certification to ISO ******** . Responsibilities also include, but not limited to, maintaining the calibration system, clarification and implementation of testing documentation, unit readiness for Customers, process audits, assisting with 3rd party audits and provides quality support to organizational projects from the planning phase to project completion. In addition, provide assistance and support to the Quality Manager as directed or required.
Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
· Creating short- and long-term project plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to as well as holding others to those deadlines.
· Assisting with the development of company policies, processes and procedures related to Quality and Production.
· Develop and maintain PFMEAs, KPIs, calibration records, Training Matrix, etc. and communicate as required.
· Develop, implement & maintain ISO 9001 procedures in coordination with the Quality Manager.
· Conducting or assisting with regulatory and quality training sessions.
· Assisting with document control initiated by Quality Control to ensure unit readiness with the Customer.
· Delegating tasks on projects to employees best positioned to complete them.
· Serving as a point of contact for Quality teams to ensure team actions are coordinated and remain in synergy.
· Communicating with leadership on status and potential obstacles while keeping the project aligned to organizational strategy and goals.
· Assisting in the development of improved Quality Control processes including, but not limited to, documentation uploading and picture packages.
· Perform Layered Process Audits, internal audits and assist with regulatory/customer audits.
· Determining data-driven solutions and implementing quality improvement plans.
· Providing departments with quality planning and support.
· Assist Quality Manager with Management Review documentation and preparation.
Quality Program Coordinator Requirements:
REQUIRED:
· 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience working with Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, ISO 13485 or API Q1, as an example.
· Project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and time management.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
· Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Teams. Strong organizational skills.
DESIRED:
· Degree in a related field.
· Knowledge of UL 142
