Our success is due to a culture created by our founder that embodies these principles: Our employees are our most important asset, we stand by our word, and our customer's needs are our number one priority.If you are looking for a career where you make a difference with over 1,000 team players, please read on.GENERAL SUMMARY:The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for implementing, monitoring and maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety and Food Defense requirements outlined in AIB International Standards, in addition to company quality and safety protocols and procedures for the Olathe, Kansas facility.The position reports to the Facility Manager.Pay: $19-$20/hrESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains AIB certification and meets minimum 965 scoreSupervise QA activities using Quality Management System (QMS)Manages on-site Food Defense ProgramEnsures activities on the Master Cleaning Schedule (MCS) are performed and documentedEnsures that cGMP and Quality requirements are followed throughout the facilityEnsures the facility is following social responsibility requirements and coordinating on-site auditsCommunicates challenges, findings and suggestions for continuous improvement opportunities.Implements Continuous Improvement Opportunities in conjunction with Production.Maintains approved chemical list database and monitors chemical control programEstablish and maintain the Internal Audit scheduleTrains personnel on policies and proceduresManages Customer/Consumers and Supplier complaintsPerforms Root Cause Analysis and develops Corrective Action PlansPerforms Mock RecallsControls Non-Conformance products: Hold area, Rejects and Food BankActive participant in the Daily Staff MeetingsMeet all scorecard goals and KPIsActive Safety Committee MemberEnforces adherence to Control PlanHelps conduct accident and incident investigations.Responsible to complete Corrective Action PlansPerforms emergency drillsPerforms performance reviews and goal setting of QA employeesProvides counseling and disciplinary actions to Quality employees as neededPerforms other duties as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervise two shifts for Quality Assurance employeesQUALIFICATIONS:General:Demonstrates excellent attention to detailWorks well with little supervisionWorks well in a team environmentMaintains a high level of business courtesy and etiquette when interacting with Customers, Vendors, and Sales representativesDemonstrates time management and multitasking skillsWillingness to work additional hours as necessaryBilingual in Spanish not required but desiredAuthorized to work in the U.S.Must be at least 18 years of ageEducation/Experience:2 years experience in Food Safety, Quality and Food DefenseKnowledge FDA FSMA regulation and AIB requirementsAt least 2 year degree preferredMust possess analytical skillsOSHA Safety ExperienceUnderstands Lean Manufacturing tools including: 5 why's, Brainstorming, Fishbone, Graphs and Root Cause Analysis.Computer Skills:* Ability to use various PC software in Windows environmentMath/Language/Reasoning Abilities:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to solve problems independentlyAbility to make decisions quickly and accuratelyAbility to talk clearly and precisely to employees with respectCertificates and Licenses:PCQI certification; AIB Food Defense, HACCP, TQM preferred but not requiredMaintains certification as a First Aid Responder and accredited CE's ·WORKING CONDITIONS:Internal, climate-controlled traditional office environment and, warehouse and manufacturing areas; work requires periods of sitting, frequent walking, frequent computer use, frequent use of telephone including voicemail, and frequent use of general office equipment.
