Job Title: QC Scientist I- Florence East Location/Division Specific Information This position reports into the Drug Substance Division and is based at the Florence East SC Site.
How will you make an impact The QC Scientist I will apply knowledge of chemistry through experience and education to perform chemical analysis of pharmaceutical raw materials. Through efficient testing the scientist will support drug substance development and commercial manufacturing.
What will you do Perform quality chemical analysis of raw materials and drug substances. Build expertise in pharmaceutical analysis through HPLC, GC, physical and wet chemistry testing. Partner with Subject Matter Experts to gather skills and knowledge. Work collaboratively with a diverse group of pharmaceutical scientists. Learn and keep current with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP). Communicate optimally with cross functional teams to support plant functions. How will you get here The QC Scientist I position starts from no experience to a mid-level laboratory analyst. The range in salary can accommodate recent graduates to analyst with several years of experience.
Education 0 – 4 years' industry experience with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a science, preferably in chemistry Different combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
Competencies Proficient with Computers and systems. Attention to detail in a GMP environment. Ability to learn and use complication scientific instruments and software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize simultaneously. Ability to learn to prioritize work using good judgment and discretion. Great teammate with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective relationships throughout all levels of the organization..
