Allen College is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty and program director beginning immediately in the Bachelor of Science in Public Health Program. The faculty member shall hold an academic faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor at Allen College consistent with his/her education, experience, and qualifications of the rank. The faculty is a member of the Faculty Organization Committee at large and appointed to other faculty committees; is involved in the development and evaluation of the program and students enrolled; is actively involved in teaching in the classroom and/or clinical; provides guidance and academic advising of students at Allen College; and is supervised by the School's Dean. The program director, under the supervision of the School's Dean, shall take a leadership role in the organization, review, and ongoing development of the public health program. S/he participates in budget planning and in planning of materials and human resources for the program and oversees curriculum review and revision to ensure that the academic program's curriculum is consistent with applicable accreditation guidelines and changes occurring in professional practice.

A master's degree in public health or related field is required. A minimum of two-three years of teaching experience in the program discipline. Those with teaching experience that is less than this requirement will be considered as follows: two years teaching/clinical experience = one year credit of baccalaureate level teaching. Demonstrated competency in practice. Demonstrated ability to do scholarly work appropriate to the individual's field. Evidence of involvement in professional activity and community service.
