What you get to do:

As a Project Specialist, you'll be responsible for procurement of goods and services to ensure the park's needs are met while adhering to the general guidelines of SEA Purchasing Standards
Assists in the overall annual budget preparation and year end projections for Sea World and Sesame Place General Services & Rides.
Create and maintain systems for financial tracking and cost analysis OPEX.
Provide monthly budget reconciliation including but not limited to accruals, journal entries and cash flow management.
Enter purchase requisition requests.
Department liaison for purchase order modifications, track and reconcile vendor invoices and payments.
Coordinate park access for contractors.
Prepare and maintain confidential company information.
Provide administrative support for the department.
Seek to obtain and purchase all goods and services at the lowest possible total end user cost considering the guidelines of quality, delivery, service and price
Work in a team environment and interact with operational units and vendors in a professional manner
Represents the buying organization as an agent
Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:
At least 18 years of age
3 years of progressive experience in financial and coordination responsibilities.
Knowledgeable of purchasing processes and buying techniques including price/term negotiation skills
Must be detail oriented
Must be able to effectively present information in medium group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Must be able to understand and interpret various forms of information (written and verbal) and make considered decisions
Must be able to work under general supervision
Must be able to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Should have problem solving/ conflict resolution skills and ability to promote a team environment
Must be able to stand and walk in extreme weather conditions for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able to maintain a professional image
Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be willing to work as part of a team.
Must be able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude to ensure excellent guest services.
Must be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.
Above all, you have to be able to keep your cool, sense problem situations and make quick decisions under stressful conditions.

Compensation:
17.50 USD per hour
