Job Title: Project Manager - Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metal Fabrication
Location: Baltimore, MD
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager with expertise in structural steel and/or miscellaneous metal fabrication to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the steel fabrication industry and possess the ability to oversee and coordinate projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
* Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives.
* Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track project progress against established goals.
* Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project execution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, address any issues or concerns, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Lead project meetings, including kickoff meetings, progress meetings, and closeout meetings, and effectively communicate project status updates to stakeholders.
* Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals, and ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
* Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure project specifications are met.
* Implement quality control measures throughout the fabrication process to ensure products meet industry standards and client expectations.
* Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management within the structural steel fabrication industry and/or miscellaneous metal fabrication.
* Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication processes, including welding, cutting, and assembly techniques.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
* Knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards related to structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication.
* Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings as required.
* Professional certifications in project management or construction management are desirable but not required.
